SLS Chemical is currently looking for a  Technical Sales Specialist to assist in developing and maintaining its water and wastewater treatment business in Western Canada beginning March 2022.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• • Provide technical support services to SLS customers
  • Promote SLS Chemicals product line and services
  • Conduct Lab work to test chemicals as required
  • Develop cost-effective chemical and operational solutions for its customers
  • Develop genuine personal and professional relationships with customers
  • Travel within Western Canada (some overnight travel is required)
  • Working hours may be varied and include some evening and weekend work as required.
  • Work with SLS vendors to add new products and services
  • Learn about new technologies and strategies in water and wastewater treatment
  • Work from a home office based in the Edmonton, AB region.

Qualifications:

• • Strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Eager to learn new things
  • A degree in chemistry, biology, or engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • 5 years’ experience in water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Ability to work in a lab environment
  • Strong understanding the sales process
  • Proficient in computers including MS 365 products
  • Understands professional standards and the Canadian regulatory environment
  • Works well in teams and on their own
  • Valid Driver’s License

Compensation:

• • Base salary + performance bonus
  • Monthly car allowance + gas allowance
  • Expense account privileges (travel, cell phone, entertainment)
